Michael Fox specializes in the literature and thought of the Hebrew Bible. He also works in Egyptian literature and its relation to biblical literature and in the ancient Greek and Syriac translations. His books include studies of the Song of Songs and the Egyptian love songs, Esther, Ecclesiastes, and Proverbs.  The second volume of hisAnchor Bible Proverbs has just appeared.
